Stayed at this cottage for the weekend to use as a base to climb Snowdon and Cadair Idris. Absolutely lovely cottage, extremely clean, comfortable and very cosy! Excellent location with lots of activities to do nearby. Gwyneth and Rhys were both friendly and very helpful during the stay, would 100% recommend staying at Gelli Goch cottages.

Despite almost constant heavy rain, we have really enjoyed our stay here. Zip wiring, mountain biking, walking- all fab! Thank you for your handy tips, we would love to come back.

Had a great week here, mountain biking, running, walking and climbing. A good week for weather, seeing us ascend Cader Idris to enjoy the view, as well as Rhiniog Fawr, unique mountains.Cycled from Dolgellau to Barmouth, and to Fairbourne for chips and the penny arcade. Will have to come back to complete some of the more challenging mtb trails…though we are pleased to have completed most of the MBR! Hope to come again soon.

We had a great stay here, what a fabulous place to stay – love all the eco-friendly things about it. Coed Y Brenin is awesome- lots of great biking, walking, plus the kids enjoyed the play area and we all liked the cafe too! We can recommend  Bounce Below – great fun! A nice footpath and walk to be found opposite Gelli Goch. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The massive windows are perfect for stargazing at night in the toasty warmth. Bendigedig. Not a cliche Welsh Cottage, all the mod-cons but still full of character, love the eco- credentials. Guilt- free weekend!

Four friends from the Netherlands on our Wales mountain bike adventure. We very much enjoyed the true hospitality of Gwyneth, Rhys and their kids! We’ve had a pleasant and warm stay in a lovely cottage. The trails here are absolutely amazing! The scenery from the mountains and the coastline can sometimes be breathtaking. You should definitely visit the Deep Mine for the slate history, very impressive! We would love to come back someday. Another great holiday in these cottages, our fourth year returning here and we still find things to do and see. We can highly recommend the Welsh Highland Railway – views are amazing. Also biking in Coed Y Brenin and a cycle ride along the Mawddach Trail into Barmouth.

What a wonderful week! The cottage is beautiful – we loved the peaceful setting and great to hear owls and a cuckoo. James (4) loved the garden, the walk to the ford, all the toys and games… basically everything! The one thing we’d change? The length
